[1]. What is a Smartplan?

Digicel Smartplan is a postpaid bundled plan consisting of voice, text messaging and data for one flat fee, available on new postpaid 12 or 18 month contracts. For only $99 each month, Digicel customers receive unlimited local Digicel on-net calls, unlimited local text messaging, 7GB Data and a choice of international minutes between 500 Caribbean minutes, 200 USA, Canada or UK landline minutes or 100 minutes to the rest of the world and cross-network.  The Smartplan offer complements activation of a new Digicel BlackBerry or Samsung smartphone.

 

[2]. Is there a $30 Unlimited Local Postpaid Calling plan available from Digicel?

A.   Yes. Digicel also offers a basic local postpaid calling plan that affords customers the opportunity to make unlimited local Digicel-to-Digicel calls to fixed lines and mobiles plus local SMS to any other network for only $30 per month.

 

[3].Can I call or text any network and benefit from the $30 plan or the SmartPlan?

A.   Calls based on this plans must be Digicel-to-Digicel local mobile or Fixed Line. Local text messages on-net and cross-network are included.

 

[4]. What are the requirements to sign-up?

A.   The basic requirements remain the same as with any other Digicel postpaid plan. These include a Cayman Islands national ID such as a drivers license/ enumerator ID card/ passport, deposit of $70 (for basic $30 Plan) or $100 (for Smartplan) and a local billing address. 

 

[5].Can I utilize Direct Debit or Online Banking each month to pay my bill for this plan or do I have to visit a Digicel store each month?

 A.    Yes. Direct Debit and Online Banking may be used to pay all Digicel Postpaid bills.

[6].Will I get a monthly bill?

A. Yes. Like all Digicel postpaid plans, our customers are sent statements detailing all charges, including calls and data made ab extra (outside the plan). Digicel customers may choose between E-Bill through which postpaid bills are sent via email, or to receive bills by post.  We encourage you to “Go Green” by signing up for Digicel e-Bill in order to preserve our planet and its resources.  For more on Bill Payments, please visit the Price Plans section of this website.

 

[7]. What are the features of the Smartplan?

 A.    Digicel SmartPlan offers the following benefits:

·         UNLIMITED Local Digicel-to-Digicel Calling Minutes

·         UNLIMITED Local Text Messages including cross-network

·         7GB Data

·         A choice of international minutes:

o   100 minutes to call the world *

o   200 minutes to call USA (mobiles and landlines), Canada (mobiles and landlines) or the U.K. (landlines only).

o   500 minutes to call any Digicel Caribbean country (excluding Haiti, Guyana and Antigua).

 [9].Define the term ‘world’ as related to the 100 minutes World option?

 A.    ‘World’ includes all countries globally, excluding international calls to Antarctica, Ascension, Cook Islands, Cuba, Falkland Islands, Guinea Bissau, Norfolk Islands, Saint Helena, Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Thuraya, Iridium and Inmarsat.
