Wednesday, June 27th 2007- George Town, Grand Cayman- Ms. Josefina McLean is on her way to compete at the Island Games thanks to Digicel.
Ms. McLean, an avid member of the Cayman Islands Sports Shooting Association, will be the first woman to represent the Cayman Islands in various sports shooting events at an international level.
This year, the Island Games will be held in Rhodes, an island off the coast of Greece. The games commence on June 30th and continue through July 6th.
The Cayman Islands will proudly be represented by various athletes competing in events such as volleyball, track & field, and swimming.
When asked on how she felt about competing, Ms. McLean said, “I am not looking forward to the two-day journey to get there, but I’m looking forward to the competition and making Cayman proud”.
