Digicel Shows Lots of Love at Local Universities with Treats for Students

George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – September 26, 2008:   In a generous show of appreciation, the Bigger, Better network treated students at the St. Matthews University (SMU) and University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) to a “Talk for Free Pizza Fiesta” during recent lunch-time breaks.

Digicel, the Bigger, Better network mobilized its team to stage lunch treats consisting of steaming-hot pizza and cold beverages for the hard-working students at SMU and UCCI in Grand Cayman.  The events which were well attended, facilitated introduction of Digicel’s Talk for Free promotion to students in Grand Cayman.

Digicel representatives traded their corporate “look” for more relaxed attire to serve the eager students of both institutions.

There were lots of give-aways and activities that engaged the student population.  Students were seen displaying their gifts, participating in photo sessions, offering testimonials and having fun with the Digicel representatives and members of faculties.  Digicel’s latest value-added promotion, Talk for Free, was introduced to participants.  They were thrilled!

Austin Chase, a 26 year old student at SMU, offered his feedback about Digicel. “I like Digicel.  Digicel is very cultured and always on the cutting-edge.  Digicel is formal, but definitely knows how to party!” said Mr. Chase.

“Digicel supports education, especially higher learning,” said Mrs. Casandra Harris, Head of Marketing for Digicel Cayman.  “Our Talk for Free promotion is an advantage for students who have heavy financial commitments already. This will alleviate some expenses and provide more opportunities for students to speak with their loved ones,” said Mrs. Harris.
