George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – October 5, 2010:  The Cayman Islands will be “rocking” to the hypnotic beat of Sean Paul’s music on 5th November 2010 at Royal Palms on the Beach in a live concert featuring the international dancehall superstar, sponsored by Digicel.

Digicel and Sean Paul have blazed a phenomenal path together.  The artist was the headline act in the unforgettable free public concert that marked the launch of Digicel in the Cayman Islands in 2004.   It was the beginning of an improved telecommunications landscape, giving customers better choices in products and services through Digicel’s mantra of best value, service and coverage.

The Kingston-born entertainer is currently enjoying much success with his latest album titled "Imperial Blaze" which was released on August 18, 2009 with the lead single “So Fine”.  Sean Paul has gained popularity and respect in the music industry, winning awards such as Grammys, BET, MTV, American Music Awards, MOBO and Soul Train Awards, making him one of the most recognizable artists internationally.

In collaboration with organizers, Monster Media, Digicel is once again marking 2010 as another unforgettable year.  Along with the organizer and affiliate sponsors, Sean Paul is set to take the stage on the beach at Royal Palms in the Digicel-sponsored event.  In true Digicel style, the company is offering the best value and is offering tickets to customers at the reduced price of CI$30 until 14th October 2010.  Digicel customers can reserve their tickets at the reduced price of $30 by texting the word ‘SEAN’ to 3993 from their Digicel phones.  This service is free to Digicel customers.

To sweeten the deal, Digicel is also offering customers tickets at half-price (regular price: $40 prepaid; $50 at the gate) when they purchase any phone from any Digicel dealer store for the month of October, plus the chance to win VIP passes to the concert.  Digicel “texters” who enjoy the monthly texting games can now play to win VIP packages consisting of limousine service, VIP passes and much more to the event.

“Digicel is pleased to welcome Sean Paul to the Cayman Islands.  He was an integral part of our launch six years ago and like Digicel, Sean has grown from strength-to-strength over the years.  Sean Paul is an iconic figure and a respected international brand.  This is another way in which Digicel delivers the best value to our valued customers and friends in Cayman, by bringing the best that the world has to offer to our shores,” said Victor Corcoran, CEO of Digicel Cayman.

Kenny Rankin, Managing Director of Monster Media said “Monster Media is pleased to be able to engage an entertainer who has been identified as one of the leading stars in the world.  Sean Paul has been recognized for his mastery of dancehall lyrics, flavoured by R&B.  He has won some of the leading musical awards in this hemisphere, speaking to the quality of his music.  Monster Media is pleased to be joined by Digicel and other important sponsors in welcoming Sean Paul to the Cayman Islands.”

Sean Paul started his entertainment career with a cameo appearance in the 1998 film Belly, during which he collaborated with DMX & Mr. Vegas (Here Comes Da Boom) for a soundtrack of the film. In 2000, Sean Paul released his debut album, ‘Stage One’, with VP Records. In 2002, he released his second album, ‘Dutty Rock’ with hits such as "Gimme the Light" and the Billboard Hot 100 topper, "Get Busy" which sold over six million copies.  Simultaneously, Sean Paul collaborated with Beyonce on the U.S. #1 single “Baby Boy” and Blu Cantrell on “Breathe”.
