George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – October 6, 2008: Local football club Tiger’s FC recently got a major boost with contributions made by the Bigger, Better Network – Digicel.
The Bigger Network that gives Better Value has continued its investment in the sport of football through a significant donation of gears for the players of Tiger’s FC. Mr. Walter Hernandez, President of Tigers FC, recently received the gears including football apparel and balls, on behalf of the club.
“Digicel is committed to social development. Football is a passion of our youth and Digicel is committed to the development of Caribbean youth. We are delighted to support Tiger’s FC as the club creates opportunities for local youth development,” said Mrs. Casandra Harris, Head of Marketing for Digicel Cayman.
Tigers Football Club was founded in 2003 and has embarked on developing football as a leisure alternative and placing young people in the work force through partnerships with sponsors and their network circle. The club has hosted the Honduras Under-23 National Football Team in an exhibition match against Cayman National Under-23 team. Tiger’s FC motto is “Sacrifice – Success”.
“We are very grateful and appreciative that Digicel has embarked on this great partnership with Tigers Football Club. Their contribution will allow us to drive our program forward and play a critical part in the success of our club throughout the upcoming season,” said Mr. Walter Hernandez, President of Tigers Football Club.
