What is GPRS?
The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a new value added service offered by Digicel that allows information to be sent and received across a mobile telephone network. Digicel’s GPRS solution brings a range of new services to subscribers. This technology enables us to offer you various services through your phone eg. surfing the Internet & sending and receiving pictures.

How do I get connected to My Digicel GPRS Service?
To get connected, call 100 from your Digicel mobile and speak to a Customer Care Agent.
Below you will find installation instructions for the Sony Ericsson GC75 card.
Additionally if you want to wirelessly connect to the Internet from your laptop we can help you do this also.
Installation instructions for GC75
The Sony Ericsson GC75 is a powerful yet discreet PC card that provides you with data speeds similar to those of a fixed line modem with the added advantage of being wireless. It enables you to access the Internet directly from your laptop or PDA, using General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).
Please read and follow the installation instructions carefully before attempting to use the card.
Do not insert the GC75 PC card before installing the software on this CD.
Insert this disc in the CD-ROM drive of your computer, after a few seconds you should see the image below:
Note: If the CD does not auto run, select START then RUN and type D:Setup.exe into the run dialog box (where D is your CD-ROM drive)

Note:
The GC75 PC card uses a SIM card to connect to the Digicel Network. If you do not currently have a Digicel SIM card you must first purchase one or use your existing SIM before proceeding. The SIM card must be activated on the Digicel GPRS network – to do this simply call customer care on 100.
Instructions on inserting your SIM card into the GC75 PC card.
1. Collect your GC75 card, antenna and SIM card together.
2. Place the SIM card in to the GC75 SIM tray and push the tray back into the GC75. Make sure the tray is closed properly before proceeding.
Note:
The cut corner of the SIM card must be placed into the SIM tray as demonstrated below, the SIM contacts should face upwards.
3. Connect the antenna to the GC75.
To insert your GC75 card with SIM into your laptop follow these instructions:
1. Insert the GC75 card into your laptop. Make sure that the card is fully inserted. A beep signals that your PC has recognized it.
2. The GC75 card is now ready for use.
The following applications will also be installed on your PC:

| Dial Up Networking Wizard (DUN Wizard) – configures DUN connections. |
If you do not see console screen, double-click on the GC75 Manager icon to launch the application:
The screen above shows the GC75 Manager console.
1. After approximately 30 - 45 seconds your card should pick up the Digicel GPRS network and the console should appear as above. Click on connect
2. The system may ask you for your PIN number (i.e. the 4 digit PIN that comes with your SIM card). Enter your PIN.
3. Once your system is connected you are free to surf.
To Disconnect from the Internet
1. Right click on the Dial-Up Networking connected icon.
2. Select disconnect from the menu.
Or
1. Bring up the GC75 Manager screen again
2. Click on Disconnect
MobileWeb
With Digicel’s MobileWeb you can have the freedom to work conveniently from your laptop even when you are not in the office. Simply purchase a GPRS PC Card Modem and a Digicel SIM and you’re on the way to the truly wireless web.
